The Joint Venture Program allows NESDIS to prioritize engagement with the private sector and other federal agencies to explore new and innovative technologies, instruments and missions that may develop NOAA’s next-generation Earth observation and ground systems capabilities.
The Office of System Architecture and Advanced Planning (OSAAP) oversees the NESDIS Joint Venture program. Through a Broad Agency Announcement process, OSAAP selects industry and partner agency proposals for study as potential pilots and demonstrations of the capability and feasibility of emerging concepts in missions, data systems, spacecraft and instrument design, and more
