Thinking of printing the JPSS satellite on your 3D printer? Here are some steps we use to get a great looking weather collecting satellite!
3D Printer | Prusa i3 MK3 |
Slicing Software | Ultimaker Cura 4.10 |
Settings | |
---|---|
Print Speed | 30m/s |
Print Filament | PLA |
Print temps | Hot End 200; Bed 60 |
Supports | On |
Infill | 20% (Triangles) |
Tips
In Cura 4.10 we see that the scale is 100,000. That’s expected & normal! We open both the top & bottom STL file at the same time and print both at once. This is because we use 1 color for the satellite and another color for the solar panels.
