Based on worldwide data, the latest calculation of ocean heat content from NOAA determined that 2019 was the warmest on record. Moreover, the rate of increase has grown. Warming from 1987–2019 was ~450 percent higher than from 1955–1986. These findings are published in the scientific journal, Advances in Atmospheric Sciences.
